Difference between IBeacon and Eddy Stone
The Most important Difference between Ibeacons and eddy Stone is that Eddy Stone is open format means Available to Every Developer it’s like using someone else’s infrastructure for one’s personal or Commercial Use. Whereas Ibeacon is specifically supported by IOS devices only.
The advertising packet is naturally different of Eddy stone than that of Ibeacon. What more interesting is that Eddy Stone is designed to support two data packet Types unlike Ibeacons UID and URL the URL packet data is more generally mentioned to make Beacon as Physical Web as this packet contains URL can be open using a Physical Web browser like Google Chrome etc.
Ibeacon is IOS and Android Compatible abut native only to Apple whereas Eddy Stone is Open Source.
